Further delays with the tournament were experienced on Tuesday night. The forecast for Wednesday and Thursday does not look promising. The forecast is calling for thunderstorms on and off throughout the day on Wednesday, with a 50% chance of rain throughout the day. The forecast is more unfavorable on Thursday, with a 75% chance of rain and thunderstorms likely.
Therefore, schedule changes for Wednesday will prioritize finishing winner’s bracket games, with the possibility that the winner of the winner’s bracket may be crowned as National Champion. At 12:00 PM we will finish the suspended Briarcliffe College versus St. Mary of the Woods game. Immediately after that game is final, the winner’s bracket championship, Lindenwood University-Belleville versus the winner of St. Mary of the Woods and Briarcliffe, will begin.
Depending on how the weather cooperates, we will begin playing loser’s brackets immediately after the conclusion of the winner’s bracket semifinal. The status of the Pony Field is unknown, but if that field comes available at any point during the day we will begin play there immediately.
